New team drives Business Events Sunshine Coast forward
Business Events Sunshine Coast (BESC) has announced a new team to promote the Sunshine Coast for conferences, meetings and incentive programs.
Lauran Hofman has been appointed Business Events Manager, replacing Pippa McCreery during her maternity leave. Hofman has worked in the role of Business Events Executive for more than two years and has extensive experience managing marketing campaigns, familiarisation programs and trade shows.
Tiffany Beal also joins the team at BESC as Business Events Executive. Formerly at Unique Travel Group, Beal has worked in both Australia and New Zealand in business events, incentive travel, corporate travel and communications.
Also supporting the unit is Business Events Assistant, Cascel Rasmussen.
Hofman explained that the new team brings fresh inspiration that will be needed to deliver BESC's ambitious marketing program in the coming financial year, stating "we're increasing our international activity, with a focus on Asia and New Zealand. Our digital marketing program will target the high yielding corporate incentive groups and conferences.
"We are also representing the region at an increased number of trade shows in partnership with local tourism operators including the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME), Pacific Area Incentives & Conferences Expo (PAICE), and Tourism Australia's Dreamtime event.
"We are privileged to have a very special destination with sophisticated business event offerings (and) look forward to working together with industry to roll out our most ambitious marketing program to date."
BESC has generated more than $9.4 million worth of business event leads to the Sunshine Coast region in the last financial year.
BESC is a division of Sunshine Coast Destination Ltd (SCDL) dedicated to marketing the Sunshine Coast as a viable, attractive and sustainable business events destination. A reported $60 million dollars is generated from the 50,000-plus delegates travelling to the Sunshine Coast annually.
