ASSA to stage mini-conferences for swim school educators

Following on from its successful Educators Day last year, the Australian Swim Schools Association (ASSA) is gearing up for a series of mini-conferences designed specifically for swim school educators.

ASSA Chief Executive, Luke Daly explains “the Swimposium events are all about providing valuable learning opportunities, with speakers and panellists who are part of the ASSA network.

“It’s by members, for members, and these events wouldn't be possible without the dedication and passion of our network.

“Educators are the backbone of the swim school industry, and their role in shaping the next generation of swimmers is absolutely crucial. Whether you're an experienced educator or just starting out, these events are for you. We're meeting educators where they are, offering practical, actionable insights to improve quality at every level.”

The first event was held in Canberra on Saturday, with subsequent Swimposium events being held in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Auckland, Adelaide and Melbourne.

Daly added “if you're in the learn to swim business, don't miss out on this unique opportunity to learn, connect, and grow alongside your peers."

ASSA's Swimposiums' are being held on the following dates:

  • Queensland Swimposium - 29th April - Colmslie Pool & Health Club, Brisbane

  • NSW Swimposium - 1st May - Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre

  • Western Australian Swimposium - 6th May - The University of Western Australia, Perth

  • New Zealand Swimposium - 8th May - Auckland

  • South Australian Swimposium - 14th May - Adelaide
