ASCTA releases new Learners with Disability course
The Australian Swimming Coaches & Teachers Association has released their new accreditation course, the Swim Australia Teacher of Learners with Disability. This is the fifth course in a series of six planned teaching accreditation courses and follows on from courses focusing on Babies and Toddlers; school age Children; Adolescents and Adults; and Competitive Swimming.
The first Swim Australia Teacher of Learners with Disability course is being conducted at the 2011 ASCTA Convention on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th May at the Gold Coast.
Wendy Ross, the primary course author, is presenting the six hour Practical Induction component of the course with pupils from the Southport Special School.
As with all Swim Australia Teacher accreditation courses it features a best practice blended delivery technique whereby the theory component is completed in the Students own time, usually via CD ROM based study.
