YouGov Sport reveals innovative sponsorship prospecting tool
A new tool developed by YouGov Sport aims to enhance the process of attracting sponsorship by identifying ideal partners for sports clubs and leagues.
Developed over the last six months by the YouGov Sport Australian team, the Sponsorship Prospecting Tool is a spreadsheet that is used to simplify the process of seeking the most suitable brands for sponsorship collaboration.
Advising that the tool is set to be provided to its existing clients at no extra cost, YouGov Sport Research Director, Liam Randell stated “for us our messaging has been consistent with leagues and clubs - a partnership is more than the size of a fanbase or the value derived from an asset. We help leagues and teams by enabling them to understand what business problems a brand has and how and why a particular fanbase can help them solve it.”
Described as capturing market opportunity data on more than 700 brands, the tool uses automation of the backend data to allow the generation of a summary page recommending the most suitable brands for each client.
The platform also provides an explanation of why the brands are deemed the best fit.
The plan is to continue refining and expanding the tool based on user feedback and evolving market trends.
