YMCA Boroondara Leisure and Aquatic Facilities achieve Quality Accreditation with Fitness Australia

The Boroondara Leisure and Aquatic Facilities in Melbourne's east, have successfully completed the Fitness Australia Quality Accreditation Program proving their commitment to quality and customer care. 

Comprising of four facilities, Kew Recreation Centre, Boroondara Sports Complex, Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre and Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre, each centre undertook the comprehensive accreditation program which has been designed to continuously build on the quality of a fitness business, with customer care and value the key goals.

Mike Dean, Area Manager of the Boroondara Leisure and Aquatic Facilities commented: “We pride ourselves on being the premier provider of health and wellness programs and services for the Boroondara community.

"This accreditation shows our members that we are committed to providing the very best experience and highest standard of service.”

Scott Bumpstead, Manager of Quality Accreditation and Compliance at Fitness Australia, advised: “The accreditation process takes a multi-layered approach and requires each business to complete a self-assessment, collect customer feedback and provide evidence of compliance relating to areas such as professionalism, safety, customer care, information and knowledge, people and leadership.

“The team from the Boroondara Leisure and Aquatic Facilities did an outstanding job of facilitating this process across all four facilities.” 

Dean added: “We were thrilled with the enthusiasm in which everyone approached the program, which further confirmed our united goal of providing outstanding fitness services in Boroondara.

“The Quality Accreditation process reaffirms Boroondara Leisure and Aquatic Facilities very-high standard of operation. We are delighted with this outcome and we will continue to challenge ourselves to remain at the top of the industry for quality and service.”

The Boroondara Leisure and Aquatic Facilities provide a range of activities such as school holiday programs, the Grey Medallion initiative and Aqua events.
