City of Boroondara and YMCA Victoria recognised at Aquatic and Recreation Victoria awards
Aquatics and Recreation Victoria’s 17th annual Industry Awards have recognised all that is best about Victoria’s aquatic and recreation industry, celebrated throuch 21 award categories.
The City of Boroondara and its YMCA Victoria-managed facilities were big winners on the night with the Hawthorn Leisure and Aquatic Centre (HALC) named Health Club of the Year and the Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre (APARC) receiving the Facility Management Award.
The Endeavour Hills Leisure Centre also received the new Business Excellence Awards.
Other award winners:
• Swim Teacher for Person’s with a Disability Award - won by Fernando Saraiva
• Marketing and Communications Award - won by James Harrison and Megan Howard
• Group Exercise Instructor Award - won by Linda McKenzie
Held on Friday 16th June at Peninsula Docklands, the Awards were presented at a gala event attended by over 600 guests from all parts of Victoria.

• Marketing Communications Award (formerly Online Communication Award)
• Watch Around Water: Facility of the Year Award
• Business Excellence Award (new - ARV members only).
