Tough surface to follow

PolySoft, the latest innovation in playground surfacing, is the newest feature at Sydney's Darling Walk Family Playground.

When constructing Sydney's largest children's playground, Lend Lease engaged the services of leading playground installation company, Impressive Playgrounds to install PolySoft on the custom designed hill slides within the state-of-the-art playground

The playground is part of a $500 million redevelopment in the southeastern corner of Sydney's Darling Harbour precinct, and is one of the world's first large-scale play areas to integrate explorative play equipment and interactive water play in an environmentally conscious landscaped environment.

Soft, seamless and flexible, PolySoft is rapidly gaining recognition worldwide as the number one choice for performance and durability. Its superior lateral strength prevents cracking and specialised pigments in PolySoft handle UV exposure and prevent premature fading. PolySoft particles are designed to reduce surface heat, keeping bare feet comfortable in the hot sun.

With an R10 slip rating, PolySoft's slip resistance significantly reduces the risk of accidents. PolySoft has been specifically engineered to provide exceptional impact attenuation.

The PolySoft surface blends beautifully with the natural setting of the Darling Walk Playground, and with particles 100% recyclable and 100% Australian-made, the surface is consistent with the 'green' ethos and contemporary design of the project.

PolySoft has also been installed as part of a new wildlife-themed rooftop playground at Tampines One, East Singapore's newest sub-urban mall.

Tampines One playground is a 920 metre2 wet-and-dry play area for children aged two to twelve.

In choosing PolySoft, the designers recognised PolySoft's superior resistance to chlorine as making it the most suitable choice for the playground's wet area while the PolySoft's anti fading features and its granular surface (designed to reduce surface heat for barefoot play) were other deciding factors.

The Tampines One Mall project is the first overseas project PolySoft has completed in conjunction with outdoor recreation equipment specialist, CT-Art.
