Wonderland Fun Park launches Spiegeltent Salon De Elegance

Melbourne’s Wonderland Fun Park has launched its newly acquired mirrored Spiegeltent Salon De Elegance - which only arrived in Australia in March.

The genuine Spiegeltent attraction is a main attraction and drawcard for the amusement park which also operate nine rides as well as presenting shows and attractions. The attraction is also versatile space for corporate events.

The concept of Salons De Elégence was created in Belgium, with the Wonderland Fun Park example being a beautiful mirror tent – supplied by the Klessen family, which has been making and restoring Spiegeltents (which means ‘mirror tent’ in Dutch) for more than a century.

Over almost a century, these Belgian travelling entertainment halls have hosted stars such as Edith Piaff and Marlene Deitrich. With its luxurious exciting ambiance, the Wonderland Fun Park Spiegeltent provides a truly unique venue in a stylish historic European setting, complete with stain glass windows and mirrors.

The wooden tent is 365 metre2 in size and can cater for 400 people for a show/cocktail style or 250 for dinner.

Located in the inner city Harbour Town at Melbourne’s Dockland, Wonderland Fun Parks has, over the past couple of years, put Docklands on the Melbourne entertainment map with world class stand-up comedy and high profile shows including Dave Hughes, Jimeoin, Akmal, international burlesque, a blues festival, Brian Mannix, Scott Carne and The 80s Band as well as hosting popular events including Santa’s Circus Spectacular, Winter Wonderland and Halloween ‘spooktacular’.
