SkyPoint launches all new night climbs

Looking to enhance its product offering to adventure seekers, the Gold Coast’s SkyPoint attraction, located at the top of one of Australia’s tallest residential buildings, has launched a Night Climb experience.

The new experience at the top of the Q1 building in Surfers Paradise takes climbers to a height of 270 metres above sea level, ascending and descending a total of 298 stairs in the dark of night, while admiring the views below, far and wide.

Experienced climb leaders take climbers on the 90-minute journey from Australia’s only beachside observation deck - SkyPoint, to the summit where they will enjoy uninterrupted 360-degree views of the Gold Coast in the open air, staring down on the city’s shimmering lights.

SkyPoint Executive General Manager Paul Callander sees the new Night Climbs as a unique way to see the Gold Coast after the sun goes down with a little adrenalin rush added in.

Callander explained “the Gold Coast has one of the most iconic skylines in Australia and what better way to see it light up than 270 metres above the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise.

“We have been operating day time and sunset climbs for five and a half years with great success and this new Night Climb is a great way for locals and visitors to experience the Gold Coast like they never have before.”

SkyPoint’s Night Climbs began operating on 15th September and will be held every day during the Queensland school holidays, and every Friday and Saturday outside school holiday times.

Located on Level 77 of the Q1 Building in Surfers Paradise, the SkyPoint Observation Deck is Australia's only beach side observation deck where guests can enjoy the unsurpassed 360 degree views of the Gold Coast beaches to the hinterland and beyond.
