WNBL launch 2024/25 season at Foot Locker with a new major partner revealed

Representatives from all eight teams of the Cygnett Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) officially launched the 2024/25 season today at Foot Locker’s first reimagined concept store in Australia, located at Melbourne Central.

This in-store event celebrated a major partnership between Foot Locker and the WNBL, announced earlier this month, highlighting Foot Locker’s commitment to championing women’s sports and fuelling the growing popularity of hoops culture in Australia.

The WNBL representatives proudly stepped out in their team uniforms and shared their insights ahead of the highly anticipated season, which tips off on Wednesday, 30th October.

Featured players included:

  • Isobel Borlase, Adelaide Lightning (Australian Opal)

  • Jade Melbourne, UC Capitals (Australian Opal)

  • Marianna Tolo, Bendigo Spirit (Australian Opal)

  • Bec Cole, Southside Flyers (Reigning WNBL & NBL1 Champ)

  • Anneli Maley, Perth Lynx (Gangurrus 3X3 and Australian Opal)

  • Jaz Shelley, Geelong United (WNBA draftee)

  • Emma Clarke, Sydney Flames (Gangurrus 3X3)

  • Courtney Woods, Townsville Fire (NBL1 North MVP & Champ)

The season launch also saw Latina Fresh unveiled as Major Partner for the WNBL 24/25 Season.

The Major Partnership will see Latina™ Fresh displayed across WNBL game day and digital touchpoints with a content series to come.

The WNBL 24/25 Season begins 30th October with expansion team Geelong vs Townsville at Geelong Arena. All games will be shown LIVE on ESPN, 9GO or 9Now.
