With a new vision for health and wellbeing Fitness Australia announces rebranding as AUSactive

Not-for-profit industry peak body Fitness Australia has today revealed that, having undertaken a strategic rethink and repositioning of its role, it is to rebrand as AUSactive, reinvigorating its activities to fight the nation’s inactivity crisis.

Expanding its role to become a united body for Australia’s health and wellbeing industry, the change, resulting from extensive stakeholder consultation, take account of how the industry now encompass a diverse range of programs, from traditional body building to yoga, Pilates, spin, dance, aqua classes, wellness and complementary health.

Released to members this afternoon during the staging of Fitness Australia’s AGM, in advance of a public launch in January, AUSactive’s mantra is ‘Activating: Every body. Every way. Every day’.

A group of employers in the ‘community leisure industry’ has today announced the creation of the new Active Australia Alliance.
