Australia’s first Fire Fit gym opens in Sydney suburb

Fire Fit, the leading south east Asian boutique gym brand, has launched its first Australian location in the inner Sydney suburb of Alexandria.

Opened last weekend, Fire Fit Alexandria offers two different group fitness training rooms and four signature programs - FORCE, RIDE, STRIDE and STRIKE - time-efficient formats that combine multiple exercise modalities.

With Fitness Business Sales handling the franchising arrangements for Fire Fit’s Malaysian-based owner Evolution Wellness - whose portfolio of brands also includes Celebrity Fitness and Fitness First Asia - rugby league star Nathan Brown, who currently plays for the Parramatta Eels, has partnered with two associates to take on the franchise.

Replacing a Jetts Fitness gym at the location on Alexandria’s Botany Road, the new studio offers a high quality red themed fit out.

The owners have been quoted by the Greek City Times as stating “we wanted to bring something different to the industry … something that would make a statement.

“We’ve implemented a premium fit out so it’s just not a ‘plain’ gym.”

“Our state-of-the-art audio and lighting designs and quality give our members an amazing training experience with almost a night club feel,” they say.

Since launching in Malaysia in 2015, FIRE Fitness has established a leading position in the local premium boutique segment, delivering some of the most popular boutique fitness class experiences

Evolution Wellness announced its expansion into the Australian market earlier this year.

Explaining the brand’s expansion plans, Fire Fitness founder, Dave Nuku “we started with a clear mission - to set the world on fire with the transformative confidence that fitness brings.

“With the trainers we’ve moulded, the world-class environment we promised, and the high intensity programs we’ve forged, we’ve strengthened our position in the premium boutique scene.”
