Watch Around Water gets South Australian Local Government Association backing
Recreation SA has announced a new partnership with the Local Government Association (LGA) of South Australia in order to expand of the award-winning Watch Around Water drowning prevention program in council-owned pools.
The LGA’s sponsorship of the program has been provided by the LGA Mutual Liability Scheme Development Fund, with the Scheme commended the water safety program and advising that its implementation can only enhance a pool’s current safety standards and risk management practices.
Thanks to the LGA’s sponsorship, every South Australian Council who registers its aquatic facilities in the Watch Around Water program for the first time in the 2015/16 season will receive a $100 discount per site towards its Watch Around Water membership fee.
Watch Around Water is an industry driven water safety program that contributes significantly to ensuring the safety of, and reducing risk at, public pools.
