Invited to join with wellness enthusiasts in over 120 countries around the world, this weekend’s World Wellness Weekend, is designed to inspire and empower millions of people around the world with thousands of fun, free and meaningful wellness activities.
Taking place during the spring equinox, members of the Australasian Hot and Mineral Springs Bathing Alliance are putting together COVID-friendly programs which can be enjoyed in location and online.
As Matt Sykes, Coordinator for Bathing Australia explains “as we continue to manage the challenges of COVID-19, the importance of daily practices which promote physical and mental health are front of mind.
“Simple activities like bathing, yoga and meditation can done at home and bring so many benefits to our lives, like increasing resilience, alleviating anxiety and connecting us to nature. Even when we can’t visit our local hot springs, mineral springs or sea baths, it’s so important that we continue to invest this time and energy.
“It’s also comforting to know that a wave of incredible places for relaxation are on the horizon, with three more signature experiences along the Great Victorian Bathing Trail set to open in 2022: Metung Hot Springs, Phillip Island Hot Springs and Alba Thermal Springs & Spa.
“Along with existing facilities - Hepburn Bathhouse, Deep Blue Hotel & Hot Springs, Geelong Sea Baths and Peninsula Hot Springs - these will create exciting day trips and extended itineraries into regional Victoria.
