Tony de Leede to relaunch Club W wellness concept
Fitness industry entrepreneur Tony de Leede is to relaunch Club W, a world first wellness concept combining three unique spaces - a Wellness Lounge, Wellness Collective and Wellness Coworking.
Having trialled the concept at a temporary site in the Sydney suburb of Carringbah, De Leede, who founded the Gwinganna health retreat and Komune Bali and who brought Fitness First to Australia, will be opening the new Club W in Cronulla later this month.
Describing Club W as a “third space” to relax, restore and recharge, De Leede advises that “Club W brings a holistic approach to wellness through a variety of designated areas for immersive movement and mindfulness, along with custom-designed co-working zones plus health and beauty services.”
Wellness Lounge offers an immersive movement studio, where classes including Pilates and dance take place, as per a schedule. They also have quiet rooms where users can curate their own experience, including the scent they would like in the room, the colour of the LED lights and the content that to be played, along with a wellness café.
Wellness Collective features an infrared sauna with meditation and LED light therapy to heal the skin while providing anti-ageing benefits.
Users can also enjoy relaxation experiences featuring an O2 chair, which guides people through breath work exercises and meditation and a massage/recovery chair to aid muscle recovery.
Wellness Coworking is a purpose-built space equipped with both permanent offices and desks/hot desks, wellness pods, phone/podcast room, a boardroom and kitchenette, which De Leede describes as being “perfect for those who like to change up their workspace”.
Access to each area of Club W is determined by membership packages with different tiers available to cater to the individual needs of each client. Casual sessions are also an option for those who’d like to try it out commitment-free or use the facilities sporadically. While Club W is in launch phase, a limited number of foundation memberships at special rates are also on offer.
De Leede adds “no matter what stage of life you’re in, movement and connection with others is vital for keeping yourself in excellent health - both physically and mentally.
“With this in mind, Club W welcomes clients of all ages and genders, providing an inclusive setting where everyone feels comfortable to become the best version of themselves.”
Beyond the initial Club W Cronulla, De Leede is looking to expand the concept at stand alone sites and within retail and lifestyle spaces.
He is currently in negotiations with potential partners to achieve this.
