Swimplex rolls out Sx50 Starting Platform

Swimplex’s high performance Sx50 starting platform is gaining increasing recognition - being installed in aquatic facilities around the country.

The next generation swimming block - completely redesigned from the ground up through a three-year development process - includes a range of technological advances.

It introduces carbon fibre to the pool environment for the first time while including patented innovations such as a locking sliding system and integrated ergonomic handle and a customised rubber deck.

Driven by feedback from users and pool managers across Australia, the Sx50 was designed to meet World Aquatics standards, with its carbon fibre platform improving the rigidity and stiffness of the design.

The custom adjustable rear-foot sliding and locking system allows athletes to use different starting positions to increase diving performance while Swimplex’s new manufacturing techniques having not only built strength into the structure but also make it ideal to withstand chlorinated water and the sun.

The Sx50 was the winner of Good Design Australia award in 2020.
