Swimplex completes installation of new waterslides for Leeton Regional Aquatic Centre

Swimplex has completed the installation of new twin waterslides at the Leeton Regional Aquatic Centre with the opening scheduled for 21st October 2023.

Once the slide components arrived, waterslide installers Swimplex erected the tower and access stairs together with both slide flumes.

The Leeton Pool boasts a dual delight with an open flume slide and a tube slide, promising double the excitement for visitors.

Leeton Shire Council is mindful of ‘safety first’ and has shared that in keeping with rides of this type across Australia “a minimum ride height of 120cm applies to all patrons. Further, only single riders are allowed at any one time. Like theme parks, Council is required to put a strong emphasis on safety, in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines, to guarantee enjoyable and injury-free experiences for all.”

The aquatic centre’s splash pool will also see the return of the popular ‘Tippy Bucket’, adding an extra element of fun for families.

To celebrate the official unveiling of the new Slides, the Leeton Regional Aquatic Centre will offer free entry to the public on Saturday 21st October 2023 from 1.30pm. The open day will also feature a Lucky Door Prize to draw the first two members of the public to ride the slides. Lastly, visitors will be able to enjoy music and full kiosk facilities.

Leeton Shire Mayor Tony Reneker invites the community to join in the festivities and experience the thrill of the new waterslides adding “this grand opening promises a day filled with excitement, laughter, and memorable moments for everyone. I’m looking forward to seeing the first people down the slide, making the most of this new regional asset.”
