Swimplex and Polin equip Fairfield City Council’s expanded Aquatopia
Australia Day weekend saw Fairfield City Council unveil Sydney’s tallest high-speed waterslide tower at its Aquatopia waterpark.
The new 20-metre tall slide tower features a three-lane Racing Ride; a high-speed free-fall slide; and the Rocket Drop Slide - which drops brave riders via a trap door to a fast loop through a transparent tube.
Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said the new waterslides further cement Aquatopia’s reputation as Western Sydney’s premier affordable family waterpark, advising "these new slides definitely get the heart racing. It is the best possible fun you can have while staying cool this summer.
“We want Aquatopia to be fun for the whole family, and these new slides definitely offer a fun time for the older kids, adults and thrill seekers in the family.
“The Racing Slides add a competitive element to the fun and are perfect for friends and family who like to challenge each other.
“The free-fall slide and Rocket Drop are definitely not for the faint of heart."
The slides from Polin Waterparks were installed by Polin’s Australian representative Swimplex Aquatics.
They join Aquatopia's three giant slides, an adventure aqua tower with 79 unique and fun elements, Wave Rider surf ride, the Fishpipe and toddler play area.
Aquatopia welcomed more than 60,000 visitors in the 2017/18 swimming season and is on track for its most successful year yet.
Aquatopia will be open every weekend throughout February, March and April, and the April school holidays.
