New attractions flagged for Fairfield City Council's Aquatopia
Fairfield City Council has announced the upcoming launch of new attractions at its popular Aquatopia aquatic play park.
Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said the western Sydney Council is planning for the new features to be in place this season as an additional drawcard for local families, stating “the new attraction, the Fishpipe, is an amazing and unique 90-second ride.
“It’s a rotating water barrel ride and feels like being on a mile long water slide and in a washing machine at the same time.
“Riders are zippered inside a ball, water is pumped in and the Fishpipe begins spinning while thrilled riders slide and tumble around in the bottom.
“The planned new Fishpipe ride is in addition to the new Stingray Surf Ride, which is also due to open for the coming season.
“The Stingray Surf Ride will give residents the surfing experience without the need to travel long distances to the beach.
“This is an investment in our community that continues to build Aquatopia into one of south west Sydney’s best attractions for affordable family fun and encourages young people to get out and about, have fun, get active and be healthy.
“With the Stingray Surf Ride and planned Fishpipe, there is no better place in Sydney for residents of all ages and abilities to cool down and spend quality time with their families.”
