SSMG partners with Billbergia Group in management of Camellia Indoor Sports Centre and Eagle Street Ryde
The Camellia Indoor Sports Centre - a Billbergia Group facility located in the Parramatta Local Government Area - features four FIBA rated courts, six training courts, four multipurpose rooms, a cafe and excellent parking. Eagle Street, Ryde is a one court venue including a strength and conditioning room and the home of Inner West Bulls Basketball.
Richard Price, Sydney Sports Management Group Chief Executive stated he is delighted to partner with the Billbergia Group and noted “SSMG and Billbergia share the same vision of creating community hubs while maximising participation. SSMG will repurpose these important community assets to cater for multiple sports including gymnastics, badminton, pickleball, social sports including futsal, netball, basketball and volleyball. We will build community partnerships including the local schools.
“We will collaborate with the City of Parramatta Council in supporting the Active Parramatta program by providing healthy and active opportunities for residents, workers and visitors to improve their health and wellbeing, and encourage active participation.
“We advocate Recreation delivery is becoming more diverse and complex. SSMG believes to deliver maximum optimisation, best practice programming and ensure the delivery of a quality customer experience a collaborative delivery model is the future of the industry.
“Our multisport brands 5v5 futsal and Anderson Events corporate lunchtime sports will deliver programs across the venues. We are delighted to partner with Rec Alley, the Gymnastic NSW award winning program will launch at Camellia in November. The two organisations have similar culture and values, so we see this as natural capability alignment.
