SportsArt ECO-POWR technology turns calories into kilowatts
SportsArt, the long time leader in energy efficient fitness equipment, has released its new line of ECO-POWR cardio products that harness human energy to generate electricity.
A pioneer in green systems that harness the power of bikes and ellipticals, ECO-POWR cardio products allow operators to plug the machine in and then benefit from the power generated when it is used - offsetting the facility’s power consumption.
SportsArt’s ECO-POWR cardio equipment turns human energy into utility grade electricity through a micro-inverter similar to the technology found in solar panels and wind turbines - as a result of which there are no extra cords or boxes to manage
With a single workout able to produce over 160 kilowatts of electricity, SportsArt’s ECO-POWR cardio equipment can not only reduce energy costs but can also lower a building’s carbon footprint.
Explaining the benefits of ECO-POWR cardio equipment, SportsArt Vice President Ivo Grossi states “gyms need to look at additional ways to motivate their members to work out – incorporating sustainable solutions such as an incentive program can be highly successful in doing so.
“Not only will our equipment provide gym members with discounts, but gyms will be able to save money in the long term – owners can calculate their potential savings using SportsArt’s eco-calculator.”
SportsArt commercial fitness equipment, including the ECO-POWR, is available exclusively in Australia from Summit Fitness Equipment.
