SPASA Victoria rebrands as Master Pool Builders Association Australia
Swimming Pool and Spa Association of Victoria Ltd (SPASA Victoria) has announced that it has relaunched itself under a new brand as the Master Pool Builders Association Australia (MPBAA).
Previously trading as SPASAVic, the organisation, which is not part of the national Swimming Pool and Spa Association of Australia Ltd and the Pool and Spa Association Ltd New Zealand (SPASA) includes a new mission statement ‘Making pool builders’ lives easier and businesses better by leveraging our experience and innovation’.
With SPASAVic operating separately to SPASA, the change of name removes confusion from the residential pool building market.
However, the new brand also sees the state-based ‘Vic’ name replaced with an apparent national focus, with the newly branded Association having a “national federated model where independence can thrive and give each state focused attention for their own individual need whilst having a national footprint to cater to national issues as they arise.”
Explaining the move, MPBAA Chief Executive, Chris Samartzis stated that this is “exciting news (that) we have been strategically working on for quite some time.
“Over the last 12 months or so we have been working behind the scenes on various projects and coming to terms with understanding how our brand has evolved over many decades, what challenges the industry faces from outside and within.
“After meeting with experts in their fields comprising strategists and brand consultants who have each worked with some of the largest and leading brands in Australia it has been made clear to us, that this industry deserves better than the dilution of our current brand which we are witnessing.”
Samartzis went on to emphasise “our process of vetting potential members is paramount to who we are and is the very essence of why we exist and work to ensure a sustainable and viable industry for all to enjoy.
“An Australian Master Pool Builder embraces quality in all aspects of their business. They take pride not only in their workmanship but in their values of integrity, ingenuity, and mastery.”
SPASA Australia Chief Executive, Lindsay McGrath congratulated SPASAVic’s announcement on their new brand and definition on their mission and who they represent.
McGrath told SPLASH! magazine “SPASA Australia will remain focused on our published strategic plan - on the promotion, protection and growth of the industry. We are dedicated to an inclusive culture supporting all member sectors and regions in Australia and New Zealand.”
