SPASA advises of postponement of SPLASH! Expo to 2022
SPASA Australia owner of the aquatics industry’s SPLASH! Pool & Spa Trade Expo and organiser Interpoint Events have advised that the convention will not be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre next month.
In a joint statement released today, SPASA Australia Chief Executive, Lindsay McGrath and Interpoint Events Managing Director, Simon Cooper advised “it is with regret that we inform you that due to the travel restrictions placed on NSW and Victoria and Department of Health advice, SPASA have made the decision to re-schedule the event to Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd June 2022.”
The pair went on to explain “following our exhibitor news update last Thursday on the evolving situation and the ever-changing circumstances in relation to travel restrictions and new health advice, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the SPLASH! Pool & Spa Trade Expo. “Although authorities in Queensland confirmed SPLASH! could be held, the lockdowns in Victoria and New South Wales have severely impacted exhibitors and visitors who could attend.
“As mentioned in our communications last week our priority is to protect the investment provided by industry. SPASA have therefore decided to re-schedule the event to … 2022.
“We have had lengthy discussions with the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre who have accepted that the venue hire will be transferred. All Exhibitor stand bookings and sponsorship will be automatically transferred to the new dates - no further action is required, your existing contract has been rolled over and you do not need to notify SPASA/Interpoint Events.
“With the visitor pre-registration higher than previous expos we know the industry was looking forward to the event.”
