150 exhibitors expected for World’s largest pool and spa event since COVID-19

The Gold Coast is set to host over 150 exhibitors of aquatic services and products, the Australian Swim School Association and the Australian Leisure Facilities Association Queensland (ALFAQ) annual conferences and SPASA education sessions under the umbrella of the SPLASH! Expo from Tuesday 24th to Thursday 26th August.

Coming together at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, the events will combine to create the biggest pool and spa event in the world since the onset of COVID-19.

The combined event will see pool builders, engineers, architects, landscape architects, aquatic product companies, swim school managers and teachers as well as aquatic centre managers, all come together under the one roof.

Speaker sessions in each of the conferences will focus on leadership and different aspects of management while the exhibition will be the centrepiece of a week of activities providing many networking opportunities including a golf day, site visit to SeaWorld, industry awards and a host of business meetings.

This year’s SPLASH! Expo event will have special guest speaker, Brooke Hanson, Olympic gold and silver medallist and one of Australia's most recognised Olympians.

Hanson has become a source of inspiration to many people through her story of resilience, determination and her positive outlook after much heartache is motivating.

Hanson’s opening address called ‘When Silver Is Gold - Believing, Succeeding and Achieving’ will reiterate the importance of ‘the journey’ of life. Following a host of disappointments and narrowly missing out on making the Olympic squad for both the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games, Hanson’s determination paid off, as she went on to win three Gold and a Silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics.

This was followed by six more gold medals at the World Short Course Championships and several other medals at an international level.

Throughout her sport and personal life, she has been through many challenges, overcoming each adversity with the determination to rise above them. Hanson shares her personal journey to Olympic glory and perseverance, the audience will be empowered by self -belief to help them reach their goals, hopes and dreams.

Being an inspirational mother, businesswoman, ambassador of causes close to her heart, Hanson continues to be a source of admiration for women throughout Australia. She will also address the Women Attaining Vision, Excellence and Success (WAVES) forum with her motivational topic ‘Striving for Excellence, whilst Striving for Balance’ which will be part of the ‘Success’ module of the 2021 RISE (Resilience, Influence, Success & Empowerment) program.

Hanson provide tips for juggling the daily pressures of a full workload and will share tips on how she copes with the fast-paced life as an active mother.

In addition to Hanson, there will be several other professional speakers brought to you by SPASA. There will be opportunities for people to attend the conferences and training sessions ranging from business management tools through to latest equipment and technology talks.

Delegates will be able to see the best of the best at the National SPASA Awards and be updated with the latest in pool industry trends.
