Sunbather Downunder Pool Cover System named SPASA Product of the Year

Leading solar pool heating and pool cover supplier Sunbather Pool Technologies has had its Downunder pool cover system named Product of the Year at the recent SPASA Australia National Awards of Excellence.

The innovative energy saving system - with its cover and roller installed below the ground and out of the way, leaving the pool deck clear of clutter - was honoured for outstanding achievement in pool product creativity, innovation and design excellence.

The Downunder system works simply, with operators following these steps:

• Lift the hinged lid and pull out the thermal blanket to cover the pool
• Close the lid so there’s no bulky roller on the pool deck to get in the way
• Prior to pool opening, reverse the process winding the cover back into the cavity.
• Then close the lid for a level pool deck.

The Downunder system can be operated manually or, for larger locations, mechanically with the Sunbather SuperSlave.

The Downunder is an Australian invention, manufactured in Australia to handle tough local conditions with Sunbather advising that the system will save enough energy to pay for itself in just a few years.
