South East Leisure partners with SisterWorks to stage Career Pathways Information Session
South East Leisure, the City of Greater Dandenong subsidiary company that operates four of the City’s aquatic and recreation facilities, has partnered with not-for-profit social enterprise SisterWorks Inc. to stage a Career Pathways Information Session for SisterWorks Inc.
Held last week, the Session saw South East Leisure Swimming Instructor ‘Rashmi’ share her story and what it is like to be a SEL employee.
South East Leisure Swimming Instructor Rashmi, shared her story and what it is like to be a SEL employee. Commenting on the presentation, SisterWorks Pathways Manager Michelle James extended her appreciation and feedback on the session stating "Rashmi also inspired our sisters, sharing with us her career journey as a migrant woman".
SisterWorks, which recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary, supports women who are refugees, asylum seekers, or migrants to improve their confidence, mental well-being, sense of belonging, and economic outlook.
