South East Leisure removes door entry fee at Dandenong Stadium

Greater Dandenong City Council’s newly established subsidiary company, South East Leisure (SEL), has improved the accessibility to Dandenong Stadium by removing the door entry fee for all attendees visiting the venue.

Taking over management of the venue on 1st July, the removal of the door fee is a change that aims to promote access to the premier facility for people in and around the City of Greater Dandenong.

It also aligns with the strategic objectives and unique community needs articulated in the Council’s Make Your Move Greater Dandenong Physical Activity Strategy 2020-2030.

Thrilled to remove the fee barrier and make the venue more accessible for all, SEL Chief Executive, John Clark stated “it is important for SEL to provide an inclusive and accessible environment at our facilities, with the support of the Dandenong Basketball Association and Volleyball Victoria, the removal of the door entry fee at Dandenong Stadium is a good first step to enhancing the experience for our stakeholders.

“This will allow quicker and easier access to the stadium and allow patrons to enjoy this premier sporting facility, whether that be as a player, spectator or official. SEL is set on providing world class leisure experiences for all.”

Dandenong Stadium is currently home to the Dandenong Basketball Association and Volleyball Victoria while hosting numerous national, state and school events annually.
