Smart Passes offer special deals at Mt Buller
Skiers and snowboarders using the new smart B-TAG passes at Mt Buller this winter are enjoying special online offers and improved access around the resort thanks to new technology.
To reward B-TAG holders, Mt Buller has announced two new online offers this week for First Tracks members including a discounted $80 Thursday pass and a two-day pass for just $185 for adults and $95 for children.
Buller Ski Lifts General Manager Laurie Blampied explains "the new B-TAGs and our First Tracks program gives us increased flexibility to respond to our customers with special offers and timely benefits such as the offers we've rolled out this week.
"This technology is not only streamlining the journey for skiers and boarders as they get onto the slopes and around the mountain, it also helps our guests pre-plan and load their passes online before they arrive and skip the queues in resort. We are delighted with how smoothly the system is working now that it's up and running and our guests are familiar with the technology."
This winter Mt Buller has implemented a resort-wide RFID access system from RTP that automatically scans new smart passes B-TAGs and links to an online store where guests can purchase lift passes, load resort credit and reload their passes ahead of their ski day.
The RFID empowered passes scan at each lift opening the turnstiles and allowing skiers and boarders to smoothly travel around the mountain.
This week's announcement of special offers for the First Tracks members skiers and boarders who have their details loaded to the B-TAG and are registered with the resort represents a 25% saving on usual ticket prices while this Saturday will see First Tracks members enjoy early access to the mountain with special lift priority from 7am.
Mt Buller has the largest lifting network in Victoria with 22 lifts and over 300 hectares of terrain and is Australia's most accessible major alpine resort just three hours drive north-east from Melbourne.
