Greg Oliver named Executive of the Year at APAC Fitness and Wellness Awards of Excellence
Greg Oliver, Chief Executive and Managing Director of the Fitness and Lifestyle Group, has been named Executive of the Year at the APAC Fitness and Wellness Awards of Excellence.
Presented during World Health, Fitness and Wellness Week in Singapore on Tuesday night , the Awards recognise leading companies and executives from across health, fitness, wellness and hospitality in the Asia-Pacific region.
Open to fitness, wellness hospitality or lifestyle executive, Oliver secured the award ahead of a number of leading executives.
With a career in the fitness industry spanning 40 years, Oliver is regarded as one of the world's most respected fitness executives.
His experience includes owning and managing multi-club gym chains and significant mergers and acquisition and strategic activity within the sector including club expansion and acquisition. In addition, he has owned and managed corporate health businesses, and founded leading membership billing service Debitsuccess.
In his current role with the Fitness and Lifestyle Group (FLG) since its inception in October 2016, he was previously Chief Executive of Goodlife Health Clubs, now part of FLG, from 2010.
The awards also saw FLG’s Centr App receive the App of the Year Award.
Among other Awards, Inspire Brands Asia's acquisition of Anytime Fitness Asia named Deal of the Year, Myzone receive the Technology Company of the Year Award, Evolution Wellness receive the Fitness/Wellness Company of the Year Award and, as previously reported, Body Fit Training named Franchise of the Year.
Phillip Mills, founder and Executive Director of Les Mills International received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
