The resurfacing works have been funded by Council with support of $179,895 from the NSW Government. The total value invested in the Shoalhaven for the resurfacing of the courts is $360,000.
Shoalhaven Mayor Amanda Findley was happy to see a focus on maintaining community sporting assets advising “Sporting clubs are the lifeblood of our communities, providing a hub for the community to come together with friends, maintain an active lifestyle and foster important community networks.
“It’s great to see the State Government supporting our tennis clubs here in the Shoalhaven and ensuring our tennis courts are maintained and upgraded over time to ensure the playability and safety of the courts.
“It’s also promising to see our facilities maintained as they age, to help support our up and coming athletes and encourage an ongoing active and healthy lifestyle for all ages.”
