Priava opens New York office to target North American venues
Leading cloud-based venue management software company Priava has announced the establishment of a US office in New York to meet the growing demand for its technology aimed at all types of venues across North America.
Announcing the opening, Priava Chief Executive James Pegum commented “as part of our global expansion plans, Priava is excited to announce the opening of our US operation in Manhattan that adds to our current global presence in Sydney, Auckland and London.
“We already have a range of American and Canadian customers stretching from the Yukon to Manhattan, but are now experiencing even greater interest across the continent for our cloud-based technology that delivers both cost-savings and efficiency gains for venues of all types, from dedicated multi-site venues through to art galleries and museums.”
Pegum points out that North American venues have been frustrated by the lack of innovation in their sector, often relying, according to Pegum “on 15+ year old systems that are out of date and hugely time-consuming to use.
“Fully optimised for the North American market, Priava can be set up within a day, and offers instant cost-savings because it is based in the cloud rather than on-premise and its easy-to-use booking and management system delivers significant time-savings and boosts overall revenues.
“Ours is the only system out there that is built by people that have experience of working in the venue and events industry, so our solution directly overcomes the key challenges faced by venue and events professionals on a daily basis.”
As for locating its US base in New York, Pegum adds “New York is the perfect location for us as it boasts a high concentration of amazing venues, is a good base from which to serve our existing clients, is only five hours behind our UK operation and of course it is also one of the World’s most magnificent cities.”
The company has plans to roll out a series of local offices across the US and Canada over the next 12 to 18 months.
The US operation is headed by long time management team member, Riccardo Furnari who will take up responsibility for the expansion strategy and local operations across the continent as President, Americas.
Pegum concluded “Riccardo has excellent credentials for this role. Not only does he have both an in-depth technical knowledge of Priava, he also has considerable managerial experience and has successfully run our London operation for the last two years.”
Last year Priava saw a 180% increase in overall growth and a 99.5% customer retention rate.
