Port Macquarie has been named as the host of the 2018 NSW Regional Events Conference.

With a number of regional NSW destinations having expressed interest in hosting the conference, Belinda King, Event organiser Belinda King advised that Port Macquarie was successful following a strong submission.

King advised “we are thrilled the 2018 NSW Regional Events Conference will be held in Port Macquarie.

“This is the third year the conference has been held and the first time it is going to be on the North Coast which is really exciting”.

The conference will see regional event professionals from across NSW will converge on the city on 30th and 31st August 2018.

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Mayor Peta Pinson was equally excited about the benefits the conference would bring to the region, adding “we are known as a world-class events destination, and to have our states leading industry professionals together provides us with great opportunity to share ideas, build networks and connect with like-minded event organisers.

“We will also be showcasing our facilities, natural beauty, diversity and everything else the Port Macquarie-Hastings region has to offer.”

The event allows event professionals, event stakeholders and event students to have the opportunity to get together and hear from targeted and experienced presenters discussing issues and topics that directly affect the regional events industry.

The conference will showcase regional events from across Australia and also focus on volunteers, grants and funding, sponsorship, risk management, marketing and plenty more.
