Inaugural NSW Regional Events Conference to be staged in Wagga Wagga
Regional event professionals from across NSW will converge on the city of Wagga Wagga in May for the first NSW Regional Events Conference (NSWREC).
NSWREC will be the first conference of its kind in NSW and will present event professionals and event stakeholders with the opportunity to get together and hear from targeted and experienced presenters discussing issues and topics that directly affect the regional event industry.
A quality program blended with good networking activities, thought provoking/constructive discussions and social activities is expected to be a recipe that will appeal to those that are hungry for knowledge and strong industry contacts.
NSWREC will target community event organisers, event management businesses/contractors, local governments, regional tourism organisations, Local tourism organisations, students and anyone with an interest in the regional events field.

Introducing the event, King Events owner Belinda King explains “following years of frustration at not having regional-specific professional development opportunities, we decided to do something about it.
“Wagga Wagga City Council has been very supportive and are partnering with us to ensure delegates are shown a great time while in the City.”
The conference will showcase regional events from across Australia and also focus on volunteers, grants and funding, sponsorship, securing major events, financing for regional events and more.
Early bird registrations for the 2016 NSW Regional Events Conference are now open while a Call for Papers is inviting presenters to contribute to the conference.
The event is being held in Wagga Wagga (the largest inland city in NSW) from 2nd to 4th May.
