Polin Supplies Waterslides for SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre

The new South Australian State Aquatic Centre is set to feature two new waterslides from Polin Waterparks and Pool Systems.

Sited in the southern Adelaide suburb of Marion, the new State Government facility, which is set to open at the early in 2011, is set to cater for elite athlete training as well as a mixed use for public. The Polin waterslides: the Space Hole and Tunnel Slide will feature alongside the Aquatower - a multi-level play structure.

The Space Hole is a bowl ride for speed riding incorporating the excitement of an enclosed flume exiting into a huge open bowl and continuing with several whirls around the sides of the bowl with centrifugal force and ending with a big splash into the âholeâ.

The Space Hole at Marion starts from a 15 metre-high tower and extends for 73 meters.

The slide is Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) manufactured bowl ride - Polin being the only company in the world that can offer bowl rides produced in this way. This is important since Space Hole at Marion will be super shiny on both sides and probably the single RTM maufactured bowl ride in Australia.

The Tunnel Slide at Marion will be an enclosed tube slide of 102.05 metres in length. Featuring exciting twists and turns, this is another RTM manufactured slide with a perfectly smooth and super shiny finish on both sides.

The third attraction is an interactive multi-level water play structure called the Aquatower Type 160. The Aquatower at Marion is designed to offer a fun play experience with mini waterslides, valves, water cannons and many other attractions.
