Plus Fitness opens first Canberra gym

Australian gym chain Plus Fitness 24/7 has opened its first franchise in the ACT, located on City Walk in the heart of Canberra.

Plus Fitness 24/7 Canberra City is the third Plus Fitness to be opened by franchisee Chris Lazarevic having opened his first Plus Fitness in the Western Sydney suburb of Lidcombe in 2011 and his second in 2014, also in Western Sydney located in Granville.

With over 620 metre² of gym floor, this newest addition to the fast growing fitness chain boasts the latest cardio, strength and functional training equipment by globally recognised brands SportsArt, Star Trac and Nautilus.

Plus Fitness franchisor Nigel Miller advised “with its modern look and feel, Plus Fitness Canberra City is set to be the new benchmark for gyms in the ACT.”

Welcoming the opening, Lazarevic stated "I’m feeling really excited to be opening the first Plus Fitness 24/7 in Canberra today and I am very proud of how the club has turned out.

“Along with the Head Office team, we have built this club to my dream spec using the latest Plus Fitness format which is going to create an amazing first impression for the brand in the ACT.

“My team and I are very excited to be opening the doors to the public and can’t wait to welcome all of our new members.

"The build of this club has been extremely organised and stress free for me. The Plus Fitness Head Office has perfected the formula over the years with an amazing support network along with the right suppliers and trades in place to really make the whole process enjoyable".

Having already sold Franchise territories in Barton, Dixon, Gungahlin and Tuggeranong in the ACT, Plus Fitness is looking forward to continuing its expansion into the region.
