Plus Fitness maximises exposure at 2017 Supercars Grand Finale

Plus Fitness is maximising awareness of its brand at the championship decider and grand finale of the 2017 Supercar Championship, the inaugural Coates Hire Newcastle 500 this weekend.

With 150,000 new spectators at the street circuit – which sits between Newcastle’s ocean foreshore and CBD - up to three million people are also expected to be watching the race broadcast.

With Plus Fitness backed driver Aaren Russell, a Newcastle native, taking on his new home circuit, the leading gym franchise is enjoying massive exposure of its brand.

To entertain the crowds across the three day event Plus Fitness have set out make this their most successful Supercars event to date and capitalise on mass exposure and further promote the ever-growing Plus Fitness brand.

This has included a jumping castle, a live feed of the race being played at their activation stand, the sale of merchandise as well as a drivers signing table with free poster giveaways.

To add to the appeal and in addition to the Plus Fitness backing of Aaren Russell, the franchise has also put their weight behind the other two local drivers at the Newcastle 500.

These are local girl Charlotte Poynting, who leads the women's championship in the Aussie Race Cars category, and long-time racing family Steve and Cameron Mason onboard their 1969 Mustang beast in the Touring Car Masters .

This addition to the Plus Fitness portfolio will no doubt see intense interest from local Novocastrians and media outlets alike and will a have huge impact on the brand nationwide.

The bold move is also expected to have a huge flow on effect for the gym outlets the chain currently has in the Hunter Region, firmly placing Plus Fitness as honourable Novocastrians for this weekend's racing.

Plus Fitness Director Nigel Miller told Australasian Leisure Management “we currently have four gyms in the Hunter region with two more scheduled to open in early 2018 so in addition to the fantastic national coverage we achieve for our brand with our ongoing and long-term relationship with motorsport, this event will also provide a fantastic opportunity to showcase the brand in what is another emerging market for us in Australia.”
