Peddle Thorp spa project wins building award

Peddle Thorp’s One Spa project at RACV’s Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast has won the award for the Best Tourism & Hospitality Facility (over $5 million) at the Gold Coast Region, Master Builders Queensland Awards.

Director Peter Brook congratulated Kane Constructions on winning the award and said Peddle Thorp enjoyed working with the company on the delivery of the project.

Brook stated “the building is designed in the shape of an elegant marquee sitting on the edge of the golf course.

“It’s canopy roof reinforces the impression.”

The luxury day spa, which opened earlier this year, is located beside the lake adjacent to the existing resort and comprises an elevated platform with a distinctive tensile membrane roof from MakMax Australia.

Conceived to offer its guests the highest quality of luxury experience, the internal spaces of the building offer custom designed specialist wet and dry treatment rooms including a multi-jet two person Swiss shower, therapeutic ‘Geisha’ tub room, in-ground outdoor spa area, custom built aromatherapy ‘Lusar’ steam shower and bespoke ‘dry treatment’ rooms, together with hair salon, makeup and manicure rooms.

The high standard of workmanship and finish is evident throughout the building.
