Northern Territory Government offers grants to support roadside hospitality sector
Northern Territory hotels, motels, wayside inns and caravan parks are now eligible to apply for funding to implement online booking platforms. Applicants can use the funding to implement an online booking system to integrate on their current website or create a website that features a booking system.
The Northern Territory Government has opened applications for the Accommodation Book Now grant program with a funding pool of $75,000.
This means tourism accommodation providers can apply for grants of up to $2500 with a $1 for $1 contribution required.
Northern Territory Minister for Tourism and Hospitality Natasha Fyles notes “the drive market makes up approximately 40% of all visitors to the Territory, which means it’s vital we do everything we can to make the experience as convenient as possible for guests.
“It’s vital for accommodation businesses to be instantly bookable so they can meet customer expectations and maximise sales.”
Tourism NT will organise training workshops and connect operators with online travel agents and trade partners once eligible operators have implemented their booking systems.
The Accommodation Book Now grant program closes on 1st December.
