Outdoor industry set to converge on Lennox Head for biennial summit

48 speakers and 150 attendees are set to be part of invigorating discussions and dynamic conversations at the biennial Outdoor Industry Summit in Lennox Head next week.

Being held on 29th and 30th June under the theme ‘Connecting for Progress’, the Summit will see national peak bodies, policy makers, key stakeholders and industry colleagues come together for an immersive experience.

Hosted by Outdoors NSW & ACT, the two-day event will, on Wednesday 28th June, before the official proceedings start, offer the chance to participate in a Skills IQ Sport and Recreation forum.

Then before the sun sets, delegates can gather at the Outdoor Summit cocktail party, where they can mingle and build connections in the stunning backdrop of Lennox Head.

Looking forward to the Summit, Lori Modde, Chief Executive of Outdoors NSW & ACT, explains “the outdoor industry is embracing collaboration like never before, and the incredible turnout of registered attendees and esteemed speakers is a testament to that.

"I'm eagerly anticipating the enlightening conversations that will shape our strategic plan, aligning it with the evolving needs of the industry."

The first day promises an exceptional opportunity for the media to gain insights into the latest research conducted by McCrindle and the peak body with discussions on the changing landscape of education, the pressing issue of skills shortages in the outdoors, and the exciting career prospects available for today's youth.

Additionally, delegates will have the chance to meet Ky Furneaux, renowned adventurer, and retired stunt woman, holding the title of the world's most published adventurer.

Outdoors NSW & ACT extends its heartfelt gratitude to the event supporters: Destination NSW, Paddy Pallin, Skills IQ, Affinity Insurance Brokers, Equipped Outdoors, Australasian Leisure Management and the Office of Sport NSW.

Modde added "their invaluable support ensures that events of this magnitude can materialize and, subsequently, drive progress within the outdoor industry.

Registration for the Outdoor Industry Summit remains open until 27th June.
