NZ Rugby League welcomes 2XU aboard
World-leading technical sports apparel brand 2XU has joined the New Zealand Rugby League family as ‘official compression supplier’ to the NZ Kiwis and Junior Kiwis.
With a philosophy based around creating products to advance human performance, 2XU is already multiplying the performance of world champions, as well as professional athletes and teams in a range of sports worldwide.
The Kiwis will join a 2XU stable that includes Ironman champions Cameron Brown and Terenzo Bozzone, rowing stars Mahe Drysdale, Eric Murray and Hamish Bond, and Australian NRL team Wests Tigers, among many others.
Commenting on the new partnership, 2XU Business Development Manager Jaysin Brown stated "as the pinnacle of rugby league in New Zealand, 2XU is excited to include NZ Rugby League, NZ Kiwis and Junior Kiwis to our growing portfolio in the New Zealand sporting domain.
"We’re a company driven by an endless pursuit for excellence in performance apparel, so a partnership with the NZRL and such high-calibre teams makes perfect sense."
The Junior Kiwis will be the first to wear 2XU Compression, when they take on the Junior Kangaroos at Mt Smart Stadium on 18th October.
Their senior counterparts will follow, when they contest the Four Nations tournament in October/November.
NZRL Chief Executive Phil Holden added "for us, it’s great to know that not only are our athletes getting the very best opportunities to recover from games and training, but they will also join some exclusive company among other elite performers," says NZRL chief executive Phil Holden.
"2XU has become a market leader in compression gear and we’re honoured to be associated with such a prestigious brand."
The wider NZ rugby league community will also benefit from the relationship, with generous discounts available through the 2XU online store.
