AIME attracted large number of new buyers in 2017

Post show statistics reveal the 25th anniversary of the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) attracted a high number of new buyers, with over 55% experiencing the event for the first time.

AIME 2017 saw over 2,000 trade visitors attend the show and more than 3,700 attendees across the two days in February.

The show welcomed 275 hosted buyers, compared to 340 in 2016, with over $1.2 billion to spend from key global markets across Australasia, Europe, North America and Asia.

Event Director Ian Wainwright said a key focus this year was to ensure a high quality across all areas of the show, explaining “quality hosted buyers ensured exhibitors had the opportunity to meet with key decision makers who showed significant interest in their products or services, and had potential budget to spend.

“We are delighted with the results from this year and are invigorated to begin building AIME 2018, in what will be a memorable and inspiring show.”

There were 14 new exhibitors this year, bringing the total to 416 exhibitors, 43% of which were from international companies.

Over 6,700 appointments were made between buyers and exhibitors, whilst new insights in lead generation provided by Konduko technology reveal there were at least an additional 9200 connections between exhibitors and trade visitors.

AIME 2018 is being held in Melbourne on 20th and 21st February next year.
