Nozawa Onsen Tourism Association spotlights the region's wellness offerings
The Nozawa Onsen Tourism Association, headquartered in Japan’s Shimotakai District, north of Nagano Prefecture, will be proactively promoting wellness tourism in Nozawa Onsen starting in 2024.
Due to its beautiful scenery, Nozawa-onsen village has been designated a part of Joshin’etsu Kogen National Park - a national park in the Chūbu region of the main island of Honshū, Japan.
In the Nozawa Onsen Tourism Association’s plan, valuable experiences to help restore harmony of the body and mind will be offered through activities and hot springs in lush natural settings and connections with locals.
Activities to Bolster Physical Wellness
Nozawa Onsen offers unique local outdoor activities that can be enjoyed throughout the seasons, including trekking, running, highland cycling, mountain biking, yoga sessions in nature, stand-up paddleboarding on the lake, and skiing on snowy mountains. 100% naturally sourced hot springs restore the body to its natural harmony, while cuisine made from local produce grown with pristine water from primeval beech forests provides a luxurious dining experience.
Deeper Mental Wellness Through Human Connection
Experience deeper mental wellness in Nozawa Onsen by connecting with local villagers. Issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, the 100th Anniversary Card promotes connections with locals as a symbol of commitment to helping develop the local community.
Only 3,000 100th Anniversary Cards are available at the Nozawa Onsen Tourism Association, the Nozawaonsen Ryokan Association, and the Official Online Store of the Nozawa Onsen Tourism Association.
