New MediSpa wellness destination opens at Sunway City Kuala Lumpur
Sunway City Kuala Lumpur has moved to be recognised as Malaysia’s premier wellness destination with the launch of Sunway MediSpa, a new spa and medical centre that blends hospitality and ancient Asian wellness practices, such as massage, aromatherapy and breathwork, with cutting-edge solutions including anti-ageing innovation and cellular treatments.
Nestled in tropical gardens at the Sunway City site, thes sanctuary offers anti-ageing and advanced cellular therapies, plus multi-day retreats at Sunway Resort Hotel’s Pool Villas.
Guests can choose from an extensive selection of à la carte therapies, including advanced ‘Medi Aesthetic’ treatments for the face, hair or body. These cutting-edge therapies are powered by INDIBA, a pioneer in the world of ACETEC (Alternating Current Electro Transference Technology) devices, which are used by leading physiotherapists, dermatologists, plastic surgeons and beauticians around the globe.
To help guests look and feel their best, innovative facial treatments have been custom designed for hydration, pigmentation, cell generation and lifting. Invigorating body therapies include a ‘Lymphatic Detox & Regeneration Program’, which activates the path of the lymph nodes and removes toxins, and a series of ‘Proionic Treatments’ can effectively target any area of the body, removing cellulite or excess fat from the arms, legs and abdomen, while also tightening and toning the muscles. Physiotherapy sessions can alleviate a stiff back and/or neck, and a dedicated Hair & Scalp Spa offers a wide range of ways to improve the hair’s health and thickness.
Sunway MediSpa also offers a full selection of traditional Asian spa treatments, including full body massages, aromatherapy scrubs, wraps and facials. Signature menu items include a Traditional Malay Massage, Mococa Borneo Body Wrap, a Micronised Algae Marine Mask, and a Coffee Body Scrub which uses coffee beans from Borneo. Looking ahead, Sunway MediSpa will launch a series of fully immersive, two- or three-night ‘Cellular Vitality Retreats’ in Sunway Resort Hotel’s 17 One Bedroom Pool Villas.

Sunway MediSpa’s Medical Director, Dr Lau Cher Rene is an expert in anti-ageing innovation and cellular rejuvenation, she will lead a talented team of doctors, nutritionists, nurses and spa professionals. This dedicated facility features a total of 10 treatment rooms - seven for solo guests, two for couples and one exclusive VIP suite - while a private VIP lounge is also available, and guests staying in the Pool Villas will be offered direct car transfers to and from the spa.
