Muddy fun as Mudderella stages first Australian event
Thousands of Australian women descended on a course at the St Anne’s winery to the west of Melbourne on Sunday (8th November) to take part in Australia’s first Mudderella event – tackling a set of fun and challenging obstacles including slippery slides, narrow tunnels, tire swings.
The full-day obstacle event series and experience ‘for women by women’ took participants on a day-long 9 kilometre, 15 obstacle course celebrating strength, teamwork and, as the organisers explained, “ a refreshing way to look at fitness, rather than just slogging it out in the gym.”
The organisers added “this Australian-first event encourages Aussie women to take a well-deserved break from routine, be strong, have fun and step into the mud!
“(Mudderella) is about more than just the obstacle course challenge, it’s a full day experience focused on women and their friends, families and support system coming together, having fun, and taking pride in their strength – inside and out.
“The event, which is not timed, is drawn from the idea of giving women a new way to think about fitness as there is more to life than going to the gym."
