Moroccan-style Hammam gets official opening at Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa
An authentic Moroccan-style Hammam, the newest wellness offering at the Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa, has been officially opened.
Held today (Friday 28th October) the launch event, with Victorian Parliamentary Secretary for Health & Parliamentary Secretary for Carers, Mary-Anne Thomas and locals in attendance, saw a plaque unveiled to commemorate the opening of the Hammam, as well as a newly opened accompanying creekside and plunge pools.
The new Hammam, tranquil creekside pool and refreshing plunge pool, further revamps the Bathhouse’s luxury wellness offering of traditional communal bathing and hydrotherapy treatments. The idyllic environment of the Daylesford and Macedon ranges area also offers a forest and nature emersion for guests to improve their wellbeing by escaping and disconnecting from their busy worlds.
The Hammam experience, a method of cleansing and relaxation inspired by the social and cultural practices in Morocco, introduces a unique social bathing experience using Hepburn’s unique, mineral-rich water sourced directly from the earth.
Belgravia Leisure Regional Manager Spa & Wellness Karen Golden is thrilled to host Victorian Parliamentary members, stakeholders and members of the local community to officially introduce the unique Hammam facility.
Golden explains “the new Hammam experience is significant as it incorporates our distinctive mineral water from Hepburn Springs, along with the wonderful local history of indigenous people using the mineral water qualities to improve health and get closer to nature.
“The Hammam has been open to the public since June this year, and there has been an overwhelmingly positive response. We believe this kind of experience should be considered an ongoing regular health and wellness investment.”
The luxury spa continues to offer a magnificent day spa dedicated to your wellbeing where you can experience relaxing and reviving treatments including private mineral baths, massages, body wraps, body exfoliation, massage therapies, facials, facial therapies, hand and foot therapies, body scrubs and wraps, and spa rituals.
