Mornington Peninsula Shire community asked for feedback on local aquatic centre usage

Community feedback is being sought on the usage of Mornington Peninsula Shire's aquatic and recreational centres.

The five centres, managed by Belgravia Leisure, include Yawa Aquatic Centre (Rosebud), Pelican Park Recreation Centre (Hastings), Civic Reserve Recreation Centre (Mornington), Somerville Recreation Centre (Somerville) and Crib Point Pool (Crib Point).

The community is being asked to advise on factors preventing them from using their local aquatic or recreational centre; how services can be improved; and what is valued most at the local centres.

Mayor Steve Holland shared “this consultation is important to shaping and improving our current local aquatic centre services. It offers the community an opportunity to tell us what’s working, what’s not and how we can improve.

“Stemming from our Council and Wellbeing Plan, Theme 3 is ‘a flourishing, healthy and connected community’. This includes fostering an inclusive environment that values safety, as well as physical and mental health and wellbeing. With your help, we can deliver services that best serve you, our community and our Plan.”

Consultation is now open until Tuesday 14th November 2023. To have your say, please visit Council's website:
