Much anticipated, the springs will open for guests to experience lush geothermal water bathing pools, massaging showers, architecturally designed sauna experiences, reflexology walk, bathing barrels with picturesque cliff top views of Lake King, nutritious all-day café service, comforting guest amenities and welcoming gift shop.
Premium onsite accommodation comprises luxurious safari style glamping tents, complete with private balcony and geothermal bathing barrels, king size bed, ensuite, luxury amenities, daily gourmet breakfast, welcome drink and canapes on arrival and access to the full site for bathing.
Stay, bathe and golf packages include access to the Metung Country Club nine-hole golf course, restaurant and resort facilities, just a short golf buggy ride away.
The tranquil day spa will welcome guests with authentic Larn’wa Aboriginal Lore wellness rituals and native botanical spa creations to enhance the bathing experience.
Nicole Moran, Wellness Manager shares “we are proud to be the first Larn’wa approved destination to offer these exquisite treatments empowered by ancient native botanical knowledge and lore to care for our guests.”
Only a short stroll from Metung Village, the 25 acre site includes ambling paths, 700 metre of Gippsland Lake foreshore, native flora and fauna such as echidnas, wombats, wallabies and an abundance of native bird life.
The project is funded by Metung Hot Springs with support of $1.5 million received from the Victorian Government’s Gippsland Tourism Recovery Package and $1.5 million received as part of the Australian and Victorian Governments’ Local Economic Recovery Program.
The nearby Metung Country Club, just 500 meters up the path, features a stylishly renovated clubhouse, slow-food menu and world class nine-hole course. Green fee public players are welcome for seven days a week and the combination of golfing, bathing and luxuriating awaits locals and visitors to East Gippsland.
