LIWA Aquatics names Leith Fradd as new Executive Officer
The Leisure Institute of Western Australia (LIWA) Aquatics has named experienced industry professional Leith Fradd as its new Executive Officer.
In an announcement, the LIWA Aquatics Board advised that it was "pleased to announce" Fradd's appointment, noting "Leith brings over 25 years of experience in the aquatics, recreation, and local government sectors in Western Australia. She has extensive experience managing a range of aquatic and recreation facilities, drove support for the parks and recreation industry across the state for 12 years, and in recent years has delivered strategic projects focused on workforce development, facility planning, and the development of resources for community sport, aquatic, and recreation facilities."
LIWA President, Dan Barber noted “Leith’s deep understanding of the sector and strong industry relationships position her well to support LIWA’s continued growth and advocacy. As we embark on responding to changes in the industry and the development of our strategic direction, we are excited to see her leadership help shape the next phase of LIWA’s impact. We hope you will join us in welcoming her and supporting her in this role.”
Barber also expressed his sincere thanks to Travis Doye, who acted in the role on a part-time basis while continuing in his substantive position at Royal Life Saving WA, adding "we are extremely grateful for the significant workload Travis has taken on and the valuable advice and leadership he has provided during the interim period as we searched for a new Executive Officer.”
On social media, Fradd (pictured) advised that she is "absolutely thrilled" to be taking up her new role.
LIWA Aquatics 2025 Annual Conference is being held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on 7th and 8th August.
