LIWA Aquatics launches second Annual Western Australia Aquatic Recreation Industry Awards

Looking to highlight and award excellence among Individuals and organisations within Western Australia’s aquatic recreation industry, LIWA Aquatics has launched the second edition of the Western Australia Aquatic Recreation Industry Awards 2023.

Introducing the awards, LIWA Aquatics advise “the awards are designed to highlight and award excellence of Individuals within the aquatic recreation industry, aquatic facilities, their staff and organisations and provide an opportunity to formally recognise their commitment to improving aquatic recreation communities, programs, facility operations, management and safety.

“The awards provide a powerful motivation tool to encourage ongoing professional development for individual, and organisations and building community engagement.”

Nominations for the Awards open on 3rd April and close on 14th May, with an Awards ceremony being held at Hyatt Regency in the Perth CBD on 27th June.

Individual Award Categories:

• Pool Lifeguard of the year

• Swim Teacher of the year

• Aquatic Technical Operator of the year (Metro & Regional)

• Emerging Leader of the year (18 - 30 years)

• *LIWA Aquatics Industry Service Awards are presented to long-service award recipients (no nominations required)

• *The Smith Robertson award recipient will be selected by the awards panel

Organisational Award Categories

• Swim School of the Year Award

• Marketing & Communications Award

• Sustainability Award

• Watch Around Water Facility of the Year Awards (Metro & Regional)

• Aquatic Facility Safety Award

• Community Impact Award

• *Waterwise Awards are selected by Water Corporation.
