Job search begins for Australia’s first Topgolf venue
Village Roadshow has commenced recruitment for Australia’s first Topgolf venue, with 400 positions available across food and beverage, golf services and retail operations.
Opening in June 2018, Topgolf Gold Coast is aiming to revolutionise family and sport entertainment on the Gold Coast, and the staff interview process aims do the same as applicants will navigate through group activities, interact with panel interviews, games and one-on-one conversations with Topgolf Gold Coast’s venue leadership teams.
Village Roadshow Theme Parks Chief Executive Clark Kirby said the countdown for the official opening is underway, and this is an exciting step in the process of opening Australia’s first venue.
Kirby advised “Topgolf is a global sports entertainment experience and we are searching for energetic people to join the team at Topgolf Gold Coast to bring the venue to life in what is going to be one of the most sought-after positions on the coast.
“We are looking to employ approximately 400 people across a wide range of career opportunities ... showcasing our continued support and dedication to the Gold Coast.”
Through the premium experience of play, food and music, Topgolf aims to attract patrons of all ages and skill levels – even non-golfers – to come together for playful competition.
Guests can enjoy point-scoring golf games using microchipped balls that instantly score themselves, showing players the accuracy and distance of their shots instantly on a TV screen in their hitting bay. Topgolf venues feature a chef-driven menu, top-shelf drinks, big screen TVs, flexible private event spaces and music in climate-controlled hitting bays for all-seasons comfort. Year-round programming includes events for kids and families, social leagues, groups, golf tournaments and instruction.
Topgolf Gold Coast is located adjacent to Warner Bros. Movie World.
